Hayleys Advantis Alert app for iPhone and iPad

This is a mobile application that is made to be accessed and used by all the employees of Hayleys Advantis group employees. The App has three main functions. You can either report a potential hazard, an incident or use to capture various aspects during a safety walk. The app will help us to capture potential situations using the mobile phone and notify a responsible person to take necessary action.


Under the tab Hazard, there are 3 options you can choose from depending on the observation made.


1. Unsafe conditions
- This is where if someone will notice a tripping hazard that should be reported immediately to prevent someone getting harm.

2. Unsafe Act
- If someone notice a person carrying out a task in an unsafe manner like working at height not using proper ladder can make that person fall and have a major injury.

3. Environmental non-compliance - Under this category any action that can cause harm to the environment will be captured such as a chemical or oil spill that can go into a water source that could pollute the water table.


Under the Incident tab, there are 7 options to choose from.


1. Near Miss - People will be encouraged to report any near miss personally experienced of others.


2. First-Aid - Any minor injury that that takes place during work that can be treated with the available first-aid will be reported.


3. Medical Treatment
- Any injury that need the injured person to be taken to a medical facility that is treated by a medical professional is reported.


4. Lost Time
- In an incident/ accident where the injured person is unable to report the next working shift is categorized as lost time incident.


5. Permanent disability
- In an accident the out is such a person has got injured may be required to undergo operation to amputate a limb and unable to return back to normal duties due injuries sustained.



6. Fatality - A person loses his life at work due to an accident.


7. Property Damage
- Due many factors property damage can occur. Can be negligence of a worker or failure of a machine could result a property damage.


The reporting of above incidents to the key people and management will vary. If a trivial observation is made and it could be rectified soon, it will be channeled to a supervisor or a manager. For serious matters such as lost time injuries, permanent injuries or fatalities.


Safety walk - This tab is mainly there for the senior management and the supervisors to be used when they periodically walk through the entire facility. Whether it is an workshop or a warehouse or office complex, The GMC member / SBU head and supervisors are expected go and make observations and make a note of operations an also to speak to staff and give feedback of what is been observed. They are expected capture images where ever possible so that the follow ups are easy.

All the information captured through the app will help to generate various reports as per our requirements in individual companies as well as group requirements.
